This was our first ever cruise and it was our first family vacation in 7 years. It started out great we got on the board and then we take off. First announcement was we are not porting at ocean cay at all but instead we are going for day at sea and porting at nassau for a day and then another day at sea. We understand this decision was based on weather and get that it was made for safety but why not tell people before the ship leaves port. We would have disembarked immediately. Ocean cay was the only reason we even took this cruise. We were extremely disappointed at that point. the only great experience was our room steward macy on deck 11 she was amazing. Food was not even good until we paid to do the specialty restaurants the last two nights. we weren't expecting to be on the boat for the whole entire cruise, so we ran out of things to do and seasick pills. Not to mention because the sea was so bad most outdoor pools were closed so no fun was to be had. When we ported the nassau they wanted 65 dollars per person to use the beach was not even told about that and was approached twice for buying drugs from the locals. We had decided at the very beginning of the trip we were not getting off at nassau because of all the bad reviews of that port but we got off because we were all sick of the boat at this point. We feel so scammed out of almost 6 grand probably more and didn't one time get to see or even touch the beach or water. i Tried calling customer service but of course they didn't care about my complaints and when i asked for any kind of compensation that was a big FAT NO SO MSC get 0 STARS 0 RATING WILL NO EVER CRUSE WITH MSC AGAIN THANKS FOR THE WORST TIME EVER MSC

Service was subpar, major language barrier, and they didn't really want to do anything extra for you. They nickel dime with a big bill at the end of the cruise not dirty but not as clean as it could be. Andnothing to do on the ship and the food was very subpar and same every single day. I will never do another m. S. C cruise again, if I had the room, I would say more. I'm going back to princess cruise lines, more money, but worth it, it's exceptional cruise line with exquisite customer service and very good food with different options, and no big gratuity bill at the end and so much to do on the ship period. The msc island ocean cay Is a joke? Half of his man made, who goes to the bahamas wanting to go on. A man made beach? The off sure excursions were gooodr got to see the mayan ruins and a cool town called Costa Maya in Mexico.

Good and bad experiences

My husband and I sailed for the 2nd time on the msc seashore, this time we brought our daughter and son inlaw for there 1st time. This time wasn't as good for us for my brand new luggage got cracked by the wheel. Paid around 129.00 and all they gave us was 80.00. Our sit down dinners were mainly pasta every night , I won a gift certificate from effys and the assistant manager showed us some rings that were more his style not mine and sort of pressuring me by saying if I get this sale I will be able to go to another ship and get the manager job. We left cause it was our dinner reservation time. Went back the next day and the manager saw us and walked out the other door. I saw a raffle on the counter and he came in and very rudely he grabbed everything and said that's been done. When I said I wanted to spend my 250.00 he said I don't have anything for that, we left with that attitude and I gave it to someone on the ship. We did have a nice wine making excursion. Loved the top deck at night watching the big screen while in the pool. Bar tender Ryan Dejesus by guest services was the best and his coworkers. Maria who helps Diamond International get sales & hand out savings, be cautious in cozumel DI for they serve you liquior and from there you'll kind of figure it out. On a good note dancing with the officers and getting pictures with them and the captain and the cruise director. Will sale again and try a different ship next time.
